Recession Proof

Life has been great! I really can't complain with all the wonderful things that God has had his hand in. It has been during these times that I believe God is looking the most for people to exemplify his character. I hope that I am exemplifying this as best as possible:) My newest blessing just came in... Thanx be to him!!!

Well as you may know, last semester I moved off campus and moved in with my older brother. This was all good a first because he is doing extremely well for himself. [25 years old, with a Masters degree, a house and two jobs (one at BofA and the other at as a professor at CPCC)] To make a long story short, as most of you know BofA was and has been in the process of laying off 35,000 employees. In February it got to the point where a lot of my brothers friends, co-workers, and even his managers were being laid off. At this time I begin to say "Self, what will my family do if he lost his job and couldn't pay the mortgage? What would my parents do with two homeless kids?" and then self started talking back saying, "If the active church folk losing they job, you know someone who go to church once a month don't got much chance" BUT! But then God stepped in! I begin to speak a word not only over myself BUT my household. I told the enemy "It don't even matter if he had never went to church in his life at all, because I going to create so much Glory in this house, I dare you to try and mess with it." Well Fam, this became my daily testament in my worship, and just as expected God stepped in;) Not only did no layoffs touch my house, but my brother just received a LATERAL promotion!!! I said all that to say this.... Even in the midst of mess God wants to be seen... and I we begin to let him arise, the enemy is sure to scatter! It was a scary journey, but to even those whom may already have been hit by the market... its okay because BUT GOD!!! When BofA started to lay off my brother started looking for jobs so that he would have a backup plan, he had interview and all but still couldn't find anything else. I am of the belief that this was because God has this promotion saved for him! (Wait stretch that....US). Okay last thing and I'm through... I know now that God is repositioning things so that his Glory can be seen. And as we begin to create, contain, and release this... it is for sure that our position will be on top!!!! (Sorry I wrote so much... I just so excited!!!)
